dc.description.abstract	Desnutrición infantil es una condición patológica desarrollada a causa de una mala alimentación. Se ha determinado la existencia de una elevada prevalencia de estos casos de forma local. La Investigación se realizó en el Centro de Salud “Proletarios Sin Tierra”, Con el objetivo de analizar las características epidemiológicas de los pacientes que presenten Desnutrición Infantil, en el período comprendido entre 2016 y 2018, mediante un trabajo de investigación de corte transversal, con análisis de tipo descriptivo, no experimental y desarrollado de enfoque retrospectivo, cuantitativo en la cual se utilizó como fuente de información, una Base de Datos la cual fue otorgada por el Departamento de Estadísticas del Centro de Salud. Se estudió 200 pacientes, de los cuales la prevalencia de casos de Desnutrición Infantil correspondió a 136 pacientes, un 68,00% de los casos, mientras que, el 32,00% de casos restantes, fueron calificados como Control de Niño Sano dentro de los diagnósticos. Se concluye que la baja talla o longitud para la edad, es la característica más frecuente entre los pacientes con Desnutrición Infantil, ya que ocupa al menos 4 de cada 5 casos de esta condición patológica, el sexo femenino y la edad de 3 a 4 años representan las condiciones de mayor riesgo y las más prevalentes en relación al desarrollo de Desnutrición.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Child malnutrition is a pathological condition developed because of poor diet. The existence of a high prevalence of these cases has been determined locally. The research was carried out in the Health Center "Proletarios Sin Tierra", with the aim of analyzing the epidemiological characteristics of patients with Child Malnutrition, in the period between 2016 and 2018, through a cross-sectional research project, with descriptive, non-experimental and developed a retrospective, quantitative approach in which a database was used as a source of information, which was granted by the Department of Statistics of the Health Center. We studied 200 patients, of whom the prevalence of cases of Child Malnutrition corresponded to 136 patients, 68.00% of the cases, while, 32.00% of the remaining cases, were qualified as Healthy Child Control within the diagnoses. It is concluded that the short stature or length for the age, is the most frequent characteristic among the patients with Child Malnutrition, since it occupies at least 4 of every 5 cases of this pathological condition, the female sex and the age of 3 to 4 years they represent the conditions of greatest risk and the most prevalent in relation to the development of Malnutrition	es_ES
