Resumen
El término "nodulo", "masa", "tumor" representa un grupo de células similares entre sí, que se han diferenciado y organizado dentro de untejido con el cual tienen una relación estrucutural, pero del cual han perdido todo tipo de control tisular. Puede tener múltiples significados y connotaciones, existen diversos tipos y múltiples niveles de riesgo y peligrosidad, de tal forma que el carácter nodular, no es más que una denominación general o cualidad de un lesión, que consiste en ocupar espacio dentro del tejido mamario normal. Es allí donde radica la principal incógnita que se atribuye a las masas mamarias: ¿es un nódulo benigno o maligno). El presente estudio tiene por objetivo principal establecer la asociación entre la clínica, el estudio ecográfico y la histopatología de ésta patología. El tipo de investigación es descriptivo, comparativo y de diseño no experimental longitudinal y prospectivo. Se realizará en el Hospital Gineco-Obstétrico Enrique C. Sotomayor en el área de mastología en el periodo comprendido entre Enero y Diciembre 2013, los resultados se expondrá en tablas, gráficos y porcentajes.

It can have multiple meanings and connotations, there are different types and multiple levels of risk and danger, so that the nodular character is no more than a general name or quality of a lesion, which consists of occupying space within normal breast tissue. This is where the main mystery that is attributed to the mammary masses lies: is it a benign or malignant nodule? The main objective of this study is to establish the association between the clinic, the ultrasound study and the histopathology of this pathology. The type of research is descriptive, comparative and of non-experimental longitudinal and prospective design. It will be held at the Enrique C. Sotomayor Obstetric and Obstetric Hospital in the mastology area in the period between January and December 2013, the results will be presented in tables, graphs and percentages.
