dc.description.abstract	Las lesiones atípicas de la glándula mamaria afectan a un total de 20.000 mujeres en el mundo y se caracterizan por abarcar un espectro heterogéneo de anormalidades estructurales con riego potencial de malignización y pueden ser identificadas mediante pruebas de imagen, cuya categorización en el informe BIRADS corresponde al tipo IV. Dicha categoría engloba lesiones de naturaleza benigna con alteración morfológica del tejido mamario que en teoría posee un riesgo bajo de malignidad, sin embargo la morbimortalidad tiene variación considerable a los 5 años de seguimiento haciendo necesario la corroboración mediante estudios histológicos. La finalidad de la siguiente investigación es establecer la correlación entre los informes BIRADS categoría IV con los hallazgos histopatológicos en mujeres con diagnóstico de patología atípica de mama atendidas en el servicio de Mastología del hospital de la Mujer Alfredo G Paulson de la ciudad de Guayaquil, en el período de estudio: Enero2018 a Enero del 2019. Por el tipo y diseño metodológico se planea realizar un estudio de tipo: Analítico - Correlacional, retrospectivo, no experimental, de corte transversal. Para la delimitación de la población de estudio se aplicaran criterios de inclusión en relación a las variables de interés; mientras que para el análisis de información se usarán programas de tipo estadístico tipo: SPSS y hojas de cálculo como Microsoft Excel. Para la validez de pruebas se trabajará con un índice de confianza (IC) del 95% e índice de error del 5% y pruebas estadísticas tipo Chi cuadrado de correlación.	es_ES

This category includes lesions of a benign nature, however, it turns out to be ambiguous because, despite presenting morphological alterations with low risk of malignancy, under its morbidity and mortality it has considerable variations at 5 years of follow-up, therefore the definitive diagnosis is only made by histological studies. . The purpose of the following investigation is to establish the correlation between category IV BIRADS reports and histopathological findings in women with atypical breast disease diagnosed at the Alfredo G Paulson Women's Hospital in the city of Guayaquil during the study period. : January 2018 to January 2019. Depending on the type and methodological design, a type study is planned: Analytical - Correlational, retrospective, non-experimental, cross-sectional, for the delimitation of the study population, inclusion criteria will be applied. relation to the study variables; while for the analysis of information statistical programs such as SPSS and spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel will be used.
