dc.description.abstract	En esta investigación se plantean los problemas de las viviendas, su espacio reducido, el déficit habitacional, y la pobreza; el estudio se realiza en la costa ecuatoriana en las viviendas de clase baja del Programa de Interés Social del Ministerio de Desarrollo Urbano y Vivienda (MIDUVI); estas viviendas tienen una área reducida para su funcionamiento, por lo tanto, conociendo las necesidades reales que tiene cada familia, deben éstas disponer de un mobiliario eficiente, el mismo que puede ser diseñado de acuerdo al área establecida. El objetivo de esta investigación no sólo es plantear la problemática de las viviendas, el déficit habitacional y la pobreza, sino también proponer un sistema de mobiliario que sea funcional, estético y con identidad creadora para proporcionar comodidad y bienestar a los habitantes de las viviendas. La obtención de datos se realizó a través de una entrevista a los usuarios de las viviendas del MIDUVI, para establecer el tipo de vivienda que utilizan, el tamaño de las mismas y describir el espacio interior que tienen para el mobiliario. Se efectúo un análisis de esos datos y se propuso a los usuarios un tipo de diseño teniendo en cuenta el espacio, la importancia de las localizaciones no estructurales, la iluminación y la disposición de los muebles y materiales, para promover el desarrollo y una mejor calidad de vida	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	In this research the problems of housing, its small footprint, the housing shortage, and poverty pose; the study is conducted on the Ecuadorian coast in the lower class homes Social Interest Program of the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (Housing Ministry); these households have a reduced area for operation, therefore, knowing the real needs of each family, should they have an efficient furniture, it can be designed according to established area. The objective of this research is not only raise the issue of housing, the housing shortage and poverty, but also propose a system of furniture that is functional, aesthetic and creative identity for comfort and welfare of inhabitants of the houses. Data collection was conducted by interviewing users of housing MIDUVI to establish the type of housing used, the size of them and describe the interior space you have for furniture. An analysis of these data was performed and users to set a type design considering the space, the importance of non-structural locations, lighting and arrangement of furniture and materials, to promote development and improved quality of life.	es_ES
