dc.description.abstract	Dentro de los catéteres venosos centrales de largo plazo (CVCLP) están los catéteres totalmente implantados, que son aquellos que colocan todo el catéter bajo la superficie de la piel, y un acceso subcutáneo a través de una aguja de Huber no extraíble. Las tasas de infección comunicadas con estos catéteres están normalmente bajo 1/1.000 días de catéter y son las más bajas entre todos los dispositivos intravasculares. El diagnóstico de la infección de un CVCLP comienza con el examen físico, buscando un sitio de infección extraluminal en el extremo de salida o en el túnel. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la prevalencia de infecciones asociadas a catéteres totalmente implantados en pacientes adultos oncológicos del hospital “Julio Villacreses Colmont” de SOLCA Manabí, durante el periodo de Enero a Junio del 2016. Dentro de los resultados obtenidos se determinó la prevalencia de infecciones en el 44% de los pacientes tratados, debido a la presencia de microorganismos como Bacilo Gram (-), Staphilococcus Gram (-), Candida An Hemo X2, Stenotrophomonas Maltoplilia, y Staphilococcus coagulasa (-). Las infecciones encontradas fueron: infecciones del torrente sanguíneo relacionadas a catéteres (ISRC), tromboflebitis séptica e infecciones de la cámara. El tratamiento prescrito consistió en suministrar antibióticos por 48 horas, retiro de catéter, continuidad del antibiótico por 7 días y migración de catéter. Se sugieren lineamientos para la actualización de la guía de procedimientos para sistemas implantados en pacientes oncológicos.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Within the long-term central venous catheters (CVCLP) are catheters fully implanted, which are those that place the entire catheter under the surface of the skin, and subcutaneous access through a non-removable Huber needle. Rates of infection reported with these catheters are normally under 1 / 1,000 days of catheter and They are the lowest among all intravascular devices. The diagnosis of a CVCLP infection begins with the physical examination, looking for an extraluminal infection site at the exit end or in the tunnel. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of infections associated with fully implanted catheters in adult cancer patients of the hospital “Julio Villacreses Colmont ”of SOLCA Manabí, during the period from January to June 2016. Among the results obtained, the prevalence of infections in the 44% of patients treated, due to the presence of microorganisms such as Bacillus Gram (-), Staphilococcus Gram (-), Candida An Hemo X2, Stenotrophomonas Maltoplilia, and Staphilococcus coagulase (-). The infections found were: torrent infections Blood-related catheters (ISRC), septic thrombophlebitis and chamber infections. The prescribed treatment consisted of providing antibiotics for 48 hours, catheter removal, continuity of the antibiotic for 7 days and catheter migration.
