In the treatment of snakebite accidents should be efficient and effective in an adequate diagnosis to start a good treatment, but it has been determined that in some cases in the Hospital Padre Alberto Buffoni of the city of Quinindé patients treated for ophidian accident Were not adequately treated, for different causes that can be attributed to their management as: Untrained staff (non-existent institutional educational plan), non-compliance with the protocol of care of the Ministry of Health due to ignorance or non-application of the same, where Evaluated a total of 358 cases, considered as ophidian accidents, produced in the period 2011-2015, which entered the emergency area, of which 274 cases classified as poisonous were considered important for the present study. The present investigation will determine through a monitoring with a methodological tool and certify the correct or incorrect attention of the patients attended. It is a quantitative investigation in that the number of attentions by snakebite will be determined using numerical magnitudes that can be treated by tools of the field of statistics and determine cause and effect of ophidian accidents is descriptive in nature. The main results obtained a low compliance of the protocol of attention of 6, 17% (general measures) in the first phase, 81, 25% (application of biological) in the second phase, demonstrating noncompliance in a direct relation between normative and ophidian accidents.
