Resumen
La Insuficiencia Renal es considerada en los países del primer
mundo como una epidemia, en el Ecuador, cada año se suman mil
personas a la lista, de no recibir tratamiento a tiempo, el paciente
corre peligro de morir. Esto hace que interese la investigación, ya
que de fuentes estadísticas en el Hospital del IESS de Portoviejo,
acude gran porcentaje de pacientes que padecen Insuficiencia
Renal Crónica, toda vez que es un hospital provincial. El objetivo
de la investigación es establecer los factores de riesgos
relacionados a la Insuficiencia Renal Crónica en pacientes
atendidos en la consulta externa del IESS de la ciudad de
Portoviejo durante el periodo del 2008 - 2011. Para el efecto se
podrán conocer los factores biológicos: edad, sexo, que inciden
en la insuficiencia renal crónica, los factores socioeconómico y
culturales; además se identificará el estilo de vida, nivel
educacional que incide en el diagnóstico de la Insuficiencia Renal
Crónica, para finalmente diseñar una propuesta educativa. La
metodología adoptada corresponde al tipo descriptivo –
correlacional, porque se pretende demostrar la relación entre las
variables de estudio. La población corresponde a 3087 pacientes
que ingresan al Hospital del IESS de Portoviejo, para lo cual se
aplicó el tamaño de la muestra con un error admisible del 5%, con
una muestra de 342 pacientes a los que se aplicará los criterios de
exclusión e inclusión.

The objective of the investigation is to establish the factors of risks related to the Inadequacy Renal Chronicle in patients assisted in the external consultation of the IESS of the city of Portoviejo during the period of the 2008 - 2011. For the effect they will be been able to know the biological factors: age, sex that you/they impact in the inadequacy renal chronicle, the socioeconomic and cultural factors; the lifestyle, educational level will also be identified that impacts in the diagnosis of the Inadequacy Renal Chronicle, for finally to design an educational proposal. The adopted methodology corresponds to the descriptive type - correlacional, because it is sought to demonstrate the relationship among the study variables. The population corresponds 3087 patients that enter to the Hospital of the IESS of Portoviejo, for that which the size of the sample was applied with an acceptable error of 5%, with a sample of 342 patients to those that it will be applied the exclusion approaches and inclusion.
