dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio es de tipo descriptivo no experimental transversal correlacional. Se observa en los adolescentes la falta de conocimiento sobre educación sexual, que buscan información errónea por diferentes medios probablemente por la indiferencia de los padres, la falta de dialogo, influencia de mitos o tabúes que ellos mantienen, esto motiva a identificar los principales aspectos culturales que influyen negativamente sobre la educación sexual de los adolescentes. Se consideró una muestra de 226 estudiantes del octavo y noveno año de la unidad Mariscal Sucre, bajo las normativas y éticas se utilizó un cuestionario de 9 preguntas elaboradas por el investigador, donde se consideró las variables socio demográfico, nivel de conocimiento, principales mitos que influyen sobre la sexualidad. Se obtuvo como resultados un nivel de conocimiento bajo de los adolescentes (65%), conviven en su mayoría con los padres (87%), los medios de obtener información son a través de los padres (35%), amigos (22%) y la televisión (24%), han recibido educación y formación sobre educación sexual en la escuela (38%), constituyendo una fuente prioritaria las instituciones educativas, el mito que más afectado es acerca de la menstruación (51%) que afecta mayormente a las mujeres. Debido al alto desconocimiento, es relevante considerar el cómo hacer llegar la información correcta, adecuada en el momento y a una edad más temprana. dc.description.abstractThe present study is a non-experimental correlational descriptive cross-sectional type. He observe in adolescents the lack of knowledge about sex education, which they seek erroneous information by different means probably due to the indifference of the parents, the lack of dialogue, influence of myths or taboos that they maintain, this motivates to identify the main cultural aspects that negatively influence the sexual education of teenagers A sample of 226 students of the eighth and ninth year of the Mariscal Sucre unit, under the regulations and ethics a questionnaire of 9 questions was used prepared by the researcher, where socio-demographic variables were considered, level of knowledge, main myths that influence sexuality. It was obtained as results a low level of knowledge of adolescents (65%), mostly coexist with parents (87%), the means of obtaining information are through parents (35%), friends (22%) and television (24%), have received education and training on sex education in the school (38%), constituting a priority source educational institutions, the myth The most affected is about menstruation (51%) that mostly affects women.
