Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are perhaps the most common medical complications during pregnancy and can have a significant impact on both the mother's health and pregnancy outcomes. Objective: To determine the risk factors, complications and prevalence of urinary tract infections in pregnant adolescents from 15 to 17 years of age at the Health Center Nº1, from January to october, 2016. Methodology: A quantitative study was used , Descriptive and observational study of all pregnant adolescents with urinary tract infection in the period from January to october of 2016 at the Health Center No. 1, taking as a sample 100 pregnant adolescents with urinary tract infection aged 15 to 17 years. RESULTS: The results obtained in the study indicate that 70% of pregnant adolescents had a history of urinary infection, so the most influential type of infection was Asymptomatic Bacteriology with 43% of the cases. The most common microorganism was escherichia coli with 66%. CONCLUSIONS: It can be concluded that urinary tract infection in pregnant adolescents is a cause of maternal fetal morbidity and mortality, and that the presence of this is determined by several factors, which, when properly treated or prevented, can reduce complications .
