Resumen
La presente investigación tiene como objetivo identificar y analizar las
características de la violencia que viven las personas de la comunidad LGBTI en los
hogares de los sectores urbanos de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Para la presente
investigación se empleó una metodología de carácter cuantitativo, tomando de
referencia la base de datos de la población LGBTI del Instituto Nacional de Estadística
y Censo (INEC, INSTITUTO NACIONAL DE ESTADÍSTICA Y CENSOS, 2013); y
como técnica utilizaremos la “Encuesta sobre las condiciones de vida de la población
LGBTI”.
Los niveles de violencia hacia las personas LGBTI son altos de acuerdo al estudio
realizado y al momento de compararlo con investigaciones realizadas en otros países,
ya que encontramos que las personas han experimentado en su vida al menos un acto
de violencia ya sea de parte de la familia, unidad educativa, en el sector público -
privado o en el trabajo, siendo así, podemos concluir que es de suma importancia la
realización de estudios similares que identifiquen, analicen y establezcan los tipos y
las características de violencias ya que conocerlas mismas
ayudaría a disminuir considerablemente los índices de violencia que existan hacia
estas personas para poder así generar a futuro políticas de inclusión, participación y
apoyo. The objective of this research is to identify and analyze the characteristics of
violence experienced by people from the LGBTI community in homes in the urban
sectors of the city of Guayaquil. For the present investigation, a quantitative
methodology was used, taking as a reference the LGBTI population database of the
National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC, INSTITUTO NACIONAL DE
ESTADÍSTICA Y CENSOS, 2013); As a technique we will use the “Survey on the
living conditions of the LGBTI population”.
The levels of violence against LGBTI people are high according to the study carried
out and when comparing it with research carried out in other countries, since we find
that people have experienced at least one act of violence in their lives, either on the
part of the family, educational unit, in the public-private sector or at work, being this
way, we can conclude that it is of utmost importance to carry out similar studies that
identify, analyze and establish the types and characteristics of violence, since
knowing them themselves. It would help to considerably reduce the rates of violence
that exist against these people in order to generate future inclusion, participation and
support policies.
