The present study was carried out in the "FARELSA" farm, located in the Santa Lucia canton of Guayas province, for 5 months between May and September 2016, with the objective of evaluating the agronomic variables of the crop, determining the best N - P- K to watermelon cultivation and economically analyze the cost benefit relation of the treatments studied. A completely randomized block design with nine treatments and four replicates was used. The analysis of variance was performed in each of the variables. Statistical analyzes with significant differences in treatments were performed using the Duncan test at 5% of probabilities using the INFOSTAT program. The tested treatments consisted in the application of different doses and combinations of N, P, and K. It was concluded that a) the highest yield was obtained in treatment five with 629 kg / ha, b) the best results of the variables number of guides per plant, length of the guides and length of the fruit were obtained with treatment nine, With values of 5.75; 3.88 m and 0.86 m respectively, c) treatment five presented the dominant dose for the crop, obtaining the best yields, d) the most profitable marginal rate was obtained with treatment eight, obtaining values of 615.20%.
