diferentes organismos nacionales e internacionales).
International trade is one of the mainstays of the economy of a country, but as all economic activity has an impact on the environment, causing phenomena such as climate change. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - IPCC states that emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), contribute greatly to such climate change, so the present study determined the role of international trade in increased emissions CO2 to the atmosphere. The research focused on the analysis of international trade figures and CO2 emissions have been handled in a decade, global and national level; quantitative (surveys, statistical data on international trade and climate change) and qualitative (interviews and reports from various national and international organizations) to meet the research objectives of mixed measurement instruments were used. Finally, it was concluded that increased international trade, brings increased freight traffic and emissions of C02.
