Resumen
El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo caracterizar las condiciones socio
demográficas de los habitantes kichwas del barrio Cristo del Consuelo en la ciudad
de Guayaquil. Para el desarrollo del proyecto, se realizaron cuatro capítulos que
abarcan todo el estudio realizado, el mismo que se obtuvo a través del análisis de la
convivencia y dinámica de sus actividades productivas en el sitio de estudio, y la
percepción por parte de la población sobre la construcción del territorio visto este
desde la participación y cohesión social.El trabajo se la elaboró en base información obtenida a través de la aplicación de
encuestas y entrevista a informantes calificados, así como de la observación
participativa. Los resultados obtenidos en las encuestas demostraron que la
población percibe al sector como su lugar de destino y desarrollo personal que es
consciente de su aporte en la constitución del barrio y que al pertenecer a una
organización religiosa hace que se lo respete más y se lo trate como uno más sin
segregación alguna.This work aims to characterize the socio-demographic conditions of the Kichwas
inhabitants of the Cristo del Consuelo neighborhood in the city of Guayaquil. For the
development of the project, four chapters were carried out covering the entire study
carried out, the same that was obtained through the analysis of the coexistence and
dynamics of their productive activities on the study site, and the perception by the
