Resumen
La presente investigación se llevó a cabo con el objetivo de describir las
características del pensamiento lógico matemático en los estudiantes de séptimo
año de básica de la Escuela Padre José Antonio González de Durana. El diseño se
enmarcó en la investigación cualicuantitativa y se lo realizó utilizando el método
deductivo, así como también técnicas complementarias como la entrevista y la
encuesta. Con la información obtenida se llegó a determinar que los estudiantes
presentan algún tipo de dificultad al momento de resolver problemas matemáticos
debido a que requieren mejorar su capacidad de razonamiento lógico, numérico y
espacial, mientras que las estrategias metodológicas utilizadas son las tradicionales
conllevan a que el aprendizaje no sea el más idóneo, pese a que los docentes
consideran que las herramientas metodológicas proporcionadas al estudiante son
suficientes para el desempeño de los discentes en esta importante asignatura. La
implementación de una guía metodológica con estrategias y recursos didácticos
promoverá el desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático.
The present research was carried out with the objective of describing the characteristics of mathematical logical thinking in seventh-year elementary school students at the Padre José Antonio González de Durana School. The design was framed in qualitative-quantitative research and was carried out using the deductive method, as well as complementary techniques such as the interview and the survey. With the information obtained, it was determined that the students present some kind of difficulty when solving mathematical problems because they need to improve their logical, numerical and spatial reasoning capacity, while the methodological strategies used are the traditional ones that lead to the learning is not the most suitable, despite the fact that teachers consider that the methodological tools provided to the student are sufficient for the performance of students in this important subject. The implementation of a methodological guide with teaching strategies and resources will promote the development of logical mathematical thinking.
