Resumen
El propósito fundamental de esta investigación es, determinar las funciones discursivas que infieren en los estudiantes de 3ro bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Los Vergeles para determinar las funciones discursivas que infieren en los estudiantes de la adecuada construcción semántica de la obra Huasipungo de Jorge Icaza. Se utilizo el método deductivo, teniendo un tipo de investigación mixta, en donde la muestra fueron 26 estudiantes de la unidad educativa Los Vergeles. En los resultados se evidencia que el 46% de los estudiantes encuestados manifiestan que tan solo a menudo tienen un bueno desenvolvimiento al hablar, también el 58% de ellos creen que la semántica es importante para la comprensión de un texto. Por lo anteriormente expuesto se concluye, que los estudiantes en promedio tienen un desenvolvimiento lingüístico medio, afectando de esta manera las funciones discursivas inherentes en el aprendizaje, pues se ven comprometidos las capacidades de análisis y comprensión lectora
