Resumen
El presente trabajo de investigación aborda el tema de susceptibilidad de caries dental
en el embarazo, que comprende desde los cambios fisiológicos, hormonales propios del
embarazo, etiología del porque se desarrolla con más facilidad caries dental a este grupo
vulnerable, las consecuencias que provocaría al bebé si su madre es portadora de caries
dental, conocer cuál de sus trimestres de embarazo es más alto en presentar y desarrollar
caries dental en el periodo de gestante de la embarazada, sus tratamientos y cuidados. El
tipo de investigación utilizado fue de forma bibliográfica dentro de los 5 últimos años
de diferentes sitios web de salud bucal. Se realizó con el objetivo de establecer que con
ayuda de los diferentes cambios que sufre las embarazadas en su periodo gestante puede
desarrollarse caries dental. Concluyendo sobre el trabajo realizado se determinó que las
embarazadas son muy susceptibles a tener caries dental al resto de la sociedad por sus
cambios fisiológicos, hormonales, dieta propios del periodo gestante y no solo atacar la
salud de ella, sino además la de su bebe
This research work deals with the subject of susceptibility to dental caries in pregnancy, which includes the physiological and hormonal changes inherent to pregnancy, the etiology of why dental caries develop more easily in this vulnerable group, the consequences for the baby if the mother is a carrier of dental caries, to know which of the trimesters of pregnancy is more likely to present and develop dental caries in the pregnant woman's period of pregnancy, its treatment, and care. The type of research used was bibliographic within the last 5 years from different oral health websites. It was carried out to establish that with the help of the different changes that pregnant women undergo during their pregnancy period, dental caries can develop.
