| dc.description.abstract | Una de las enfermedades que presentan una estrecha relación con la salud bucodental es la enfermedad periodontal, con la presencia de una enfermedad silenciosa catastrófica llamada diabetes tipo II, que influye de manera negativa en el ligamento periodontal; debemos tener presente posibles complicaciones que puedan presentarse en los diferentes tratamientos como en este, la prótesis metálica removible. Generalmente se presentan complicaciones en otros órganos blancos como son renales, cardiovasculares, hepáticos, visuales, por consiguiente están afectados las estructuras blandas y duras de las piezas dentarias. Por ende al estar afectado el organismo producto de la subida de la glicemia, el profesional debe estar capacitado para la elección de los diferentes tratamientos, sean periodontales como protésicos. El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar los diferentes medios de diagnóstico del paciente diabético tipo II y tratarlos con alisado y pulido radicular y por consiguiente la confección de prótesis parcial metálica removible. La Investigación fue descriptiva y no experimental ya que se lo realizó en la Clínica de Prostodoncia de la Facultad Piloto de Odontología de la Universidad de Guayaquil, aplicando los protocolos de atención al paciente diabético de este tipo, obteniendo resultados favorables como el restablecimiento del perfil del paciente, dimensión vertical adecuada y la respectiva función masticatoria, mediante las terapéuticas de los diferentes tratamientos para tener éxito al confeccionar la prótesis metálica removible. Es importante que la comunidad odontológica esté actualizada e informada sobre la importancia de realizar un acertado diagnóstico en el paciente diabético y la elección de su tratamiento, para conocer el impacto que tendrá en su cavidad oral y reestablecer la funcionabilidad masticatoria del paciente. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | One of the diseases which have a close relationship with oral health is periodontal disease, the presence of a catastrophic silent disease called type II diabetes, which affects negatively in the periodontal ligament; We must keep in mind possible complications that may arise in the different treatments in this, the removable metal prosthesis. Complications are usually present in other white organs such as kidney, cardiovascular, hepatic, Visual, therefore the soft and hard structures of teeth are affected. Therefore to be affected by the product of the rise of blood sugar levels body, professional should be trained for the choice of treatments, whether periodontal as prosthetic. The objective of this research was to identify the different means of diagnosis of type II diabetic patient and treat them with smoothing and polishing root and therefore the preparation of metal removable partial denture. The research was descriptive and non-experimental since it is held in the clinic of Prosthodontics of the Faculty pilot of Dentistry of the University of Guayaquil, applying the protocols of care to diabetic patients of this type, obtaining favorable results as the restoration of the profile of the patient, proper vertical dimension and respective masticatory function, using the therapeutic treatments to succeed to make the metal removable prosthesis. It is important that the dental community is up-to-date and informed about the importance of a successful diagnosis in diabetic patients and the choice of treatment, to know the impact that will have on your oral cavity and re-establish the masticatory functionality of the patient. | es_ES |
