dosificación del aire, fatiga vocal, tensión cervical y la mala higiene vocal;
At the end of the investigation carried out in the Municipal Adult Choir Más Ciudad run by the M.I Municipality of Guayaquil, it was evidenced that there was a higher prevalence in the male gender with 60% of the participants, between the ages of 40 to 45 years. Middle adulthood is considered to be the longest stage of human life; For the singer, this is a stage where the voice presents changes due to various factors such as excessive use of the vocal apparatus, wrong respiratory process and lack of air dosage, vocal fatigue, cervical tension and poor vocal hygiene; being affected by dysphonia, hoarseness, tonal breaks and pathologies at the level of the vocal cords such as polyps, edema and nodules. The effects can be observed in the difficulty they have in reaching high notes according to their type of voice, the vocal fatigue they present after a vocal exercise or a presentation. An investigative work is established in the Más Ciudad Adult Municipal Choir, where the Semi-Occluded Vocal Tract Exercises are applied, to improve the vocal abilities of the singers, breathing and air dosage. The methodology used was exploratory, descriptive, and experimental research, together with the evaluation instrument Anamnesis Voz Cantada, in which a pre and post test was established. For the singers that make up the choir, a Likert-type quality survey was carried out, where they consider that semi-occluded vocal tract exercises should be taken into account as a vocal prevention program for singers in middle adulthood.
