Resumen
En esta investigación se analizó la competitividad del sector textil en Ecuador durante el periodo 2010 – 2021, la industria textil es uno de los sectores económicos de mayor relevancia en el país, la industria textil en el ámbito productivo se la considera la cuarta entre todas las que existen en Ecuador, por su importancia en el aspecto socioeconómico necesita más incentivos por parte del Estado nacional. El trabajo se realizó con una metodología mixta, para la recopilación de información necesaria. Una de las conclusiones más relevantes que se obtuvo con esta investigación fue la determinación que hay una evidente disminución porcentual del aporte económico del sector textil en el PIB nacional, durante el periodo 2010 – 2021 el porcentaje más bajo de aportación es la del 2020 con el 0.75% esto se justifica por la crisis pandémica que afecto a muchas las industrias y la textil no fue la excepción, mientras que la más alta se registró en el 2011 con 0,90%.
In this research, the competitiveness of the textile sector in Ecuador was analyzed during the period 2010 - 2021, the textile industry is one of the most relevant economic sectors in the country, the textile industry in the productive field is considered the fourth among all the that exist in Ecuador, due to its importance in the socioeconomic aspect, needs more incentives from the national State. One of the most relevant conclusions obtained with this investigation was the determination that there is an evident percentage decrease in the economic contribution of the textile sector in the national GDP, during the period 2010 - 2021 the lowest percentage of contribution is that of 2020 with the 0.75% this is justified by the pandemic crisis that affected many industries and the textile industry was no exception, while the highest was recorded in 2011 with 0.90%.
