dc.description.abstract	Reading is a habit that allows the acquisition of knowledge and involves the use of the mind. Through this project, students will improve their reading comprehension, develop their imagination and creativity, enrich their vocabulary and improve their oral and written expression. They will also enhance their observation, attention and concentration skills. Likewise, through a bibliographic and analytical study and with the use of research instruments such as a student survey, an interview with the English teacher and classroom observation, it became evident that the students of the 1st bachillerato of the "Simon Bolivar" School present difficulties in their reading comprehension and do not have enough material such as Ecuadorian literary texts to put their reading skills into practice. For this reason, the author of this project found the solution based on the design of an activity handbook containing recognized Ecuadorian literary texts for students to improve their reading skills and associate it with their previous knowledge and promote their cultural identity. Finally, it should be noted that the proposal is designed for high school students according to their A2.2 proficiency level, as stipulated in the National Curriculum Guidelines.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La lectura es un hábito que permite adquirir conocimientos e implica el uso de la mente. A través de este proyecto, los alumnos mejorarán su comprensión lectora, desarrollarán su imaginación y creatividad, enriquecerán su vocabulario y mejorarán su expresión oral y escrita. También potenciarán sus capacidades de observación, atención y concentración. Asimismo, a través de un estudio bibliográfico y analítico y con el uso de instrumentos de investigación como una encuesta a los estudiantes, una entrevista a la profesora de inglés y la observación en el aula, se evidenció que los estudiantes del 1er bachillerato del Colegio "Simón Bolívar" presentan dificultades en su comprensión lectora y no cuentan con suficiente material como textos literarios ecuatorianos para poner en práctica sus habilidades lectoras. Por esta razón, el autor de este proyecto encontró la solución basada en el diseño de un manual de actividades que contenga textos literarios ecuatorianos reconocidos para que los estudiantes mejoren sus habilidades lectoras y lo asocien con sus conocimientos previos y promuevan su identidad cultural. Finalmente, cabe señalar que la propuesta está diseñada para estudiantes de bachillerato de acuerdo a su nivel de competencia A2.2, según lo estipulado en los Lineamientos Curriculares Nacionales.	es_ES
