| dc.description.abstract | La reintervención endodóntica consiste en extraer todo el material obturador, realizar una nueva limpieza del conducto radicular y obturar de nuevo el conducto, esta es la primera alternativa que se realiza cuando el primer tratamiento de conducto ha fracasado. El fracaso endodóntico se puede dar por diversos factores; como una falsa vía, mala instrumentación o por microfiltración debido a una mala restauración, etc. La remoción del todo el material obturador se hace con la técnica combinada (mecánica-química). El objetivo de este estudio es analizar el aceite esencial de limón como solvente natural y de cómo actúa al momento de remover la gutapercha en la reintervención endodóntica. Los resultados dieron que aproximadamente de 2 a 3 minutos se pudo extraer la gutapercha y la desobturación total del conducto radicular no tardo más de 30 minutos. En conclusión, el aceite esencial de limón deja un olor agradable al momento de su uso, no es molesto para el paciente y no presenta toxicidad para el organismo. Por estas razones lo convierte en una alternativa al momento de hacer una reintervención endodóntica. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Endodontic re-intervention consists in removing all the shutter material to perform a new root canal cleaning and sealing. This is the first alternative that is performed when the first canal treatment fails. The endodontic failure can occur for various factors such as a false route, bad instrumentation, and microleakage. The removal of all the shutter material is done with the combined technique (mechanical-chemical). The objective of this study is to analyze the lemon essential oil as a natural solvent to remove the contaminated gutta-percha in endodontic re-intervention. The results gave that approximately 2 to 3 minutes is the lapse for the gutta-percha extraction and the total root canal desobturation took no more than 30 minutes. In conclusion, the lemon essential oil leaves a savoriness in the moment of its use, moreover, it is not bothersome for the patient and does not present toxicity for the organism. For these reasons, lemon essential oil becomes an alternative at moment of carrying out an endodontic re-intervention. | es_ES |
