dc.description.abstractThis project is based on research conducted on the reading habits and reading capabilities of ninth grade students at Unidad Educativa Bilingue Boston during the 2023-2024 academic year. The research was carried out through the use of an interview with the teacher, surveys of students, and observation, which demonstrated the need to implement exciting and new reading strategies that promote the reading habit and the development of critical thinking, communicative skills, and reading comprehension of students. The lack of motivation, the use of inappropriate texts, and not very dynamic classes are factors that prevent students from improving their reading skills. This project presents the use of literature circles that promote the use of authentic texts as a solution to this problem, being an ideal tool to develop and increase the reading comprehension of students, allowing them to actively participate in the development of their reading comprehension in a collaborative way.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEste proyecto tiene como fundamento la investigación realizada sobre los hábitos y las capacidades lectoras de los estudiantes de noveno grado de la Unidad Educativa Bilingüe Boston durante el periodo lectivo 2023-2024, en la cual se evidencio mediante el uso de una entrevista al docente, encuestas a los estudiantes y la observación, la necesidad de implementar estrategias de lectura novedosas que promuevan el habito lector y el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico y comprensión lectora en los alumnos. La falta de motivación, el uso de textos inadecuados, y las clases poco dinámicas son factores que impiden a los estudiantes mejorar sus capacidades lectoras. Este proyecto presenta la utilización de círculos de lectura que promuevan el uso de textos autóctonos como una solución a esta problemática, siendo una herramienta idónea para desarrollar e incrementar la comprensión lectora de los estudiantes permitiéndoles participar activamente en el desarrollo de su aprendizaje de manera colaborativa.es_ES
