Resumen
La prevalencia de las maloclusiones es un tema que ha sido
ampliamente estudiado, dentro de este estudio están la presencia de
los mesiodens y la influencia que tienen estos en la alineación de los
dientes permanentes, así como la posible etiología de este problema,
sin embargo hasta el momento ha sido difícil establecer el porqué de
esta anomalía en los dientes.Un diente supernumerario puede
semejarse estrechamente a los dientes del grupo al que pertenecen,
cuando esto ocurre se le denominan suplementarios. Se ha sugerido
que los supernumerarios se desarrollan a partir de un tercer germen
dental, que surge de la lámina cercana al germen dental permanente
o posiblemente de la división de éste.En algunos casos parece que
hay tendencia hereditaria a desarrollar dientes supernumerarios. El
diente supernumerario mesiodens situado entre los incisivos
centrales maxilares y que se presenta aislado o en pares,
erupcionado o impactado e incluso invertido, es un diente pequeño
con corona en forma de cono y raíz corta. Es interesante y todavía
inexplicable, el hecho de que alrededor de 90% de todos los
supernumerarios se presenten en el maxilar superior. Dentro de esta
anomalía esta por estudiar la importancia que tiene la aparatología
en los dientes para la alineación del mismo para que no vaya afectar
en la fonética y en la apariencia del niño.
The prevalence of malocclusion is a topic that has been extensively studied within this study are the presence of mesiodens and the influence of these on the alignment of permanent teeth as well as the possible etiology of this problem, but until far been difficult to establish the reason for this anomaly in the teeth.A supernumerary tooth may closely resemble the teeth of the group they belong to, when this happens is called supplementary. It has been suggested that supernumerary develop from a third tooth germ, which arises from the sheet near the permanent tooth germ or possibly dividing it.In some cases there seems to be hereditary tendency to develop supernumerary teeth.The supernumerary tooth mesiodens located between the maxillary central incisors and presented alone or in pairs, erupted or impacted and even reversed, is a small tooth with cone-shaped crown and short root.It is interesting and still unexplained, the fact that about 90% of all supernumerary occur in the maxilla. Within this anomaly is to study the importance of the appliances on the teeth for aligning the same for you fail to affect the phonetic and appearance of the child.
