dc.description.abstract	El objetivo general de la investigación fue analizar las características y orientaciones de los créditos otorgados por el Banco Mundial en el Ecuador durante el periodo 1990 – 2018. La metodología del presente trabajo se basó en la revisión de fuentes primarias y secundarias que proporcionaron información de datos socioeconómicos para que el país, pueda acceder a los préstamos que otorga el BM. El diseño de la investigación es tipo documental con un alcance descriptivo. Se concluye, que la investigación rectifica parte del problema central, esto significa, que las características de los créditos otorgados por el BM, si promueven una intervención efectiva de dicho organismo en Ecuador, no siendo totalmente así en su orientación por provincia, dado que existe una concentración del destino de los proyectos. Por lo tanto, el Estado debería ejecutar proyectos sostenibles, eficientes y desconcentrados que satisfagan necesidades de aquella población vulnerable y de esta forma disminuir aquel porcentaje de proyectos insatisfactorios	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	The general objective of the research was to analyze the characteristics and orientations of the credits granted by the World Bank in Ecuador during the period 1990 - 2018. The methodology of this work was based on the review of primary and secondary sources that provided data information socioeconomic so that the country can access the loans granted by the World Bank. The research design is documentary type with a descriptive scope. It is concluded that the investigation rectifies part of the central problem, this means that the characteristics of the credits granted by the World Bank do promote an effective intervention of this organization in Ecuador, not being totally so in its orientation by province, given that there is a concentration of the destiny of the projects. Therefore, the State should execute sustainable, efficient and decentralized projects that satisfy the needs of that vulnerable population and thus decrease that percentage of unsatisfactory projects	es_ES
