Resumen
El estudio de factibilidad de sitio con respecto a los criterios ambientales, geológicos y sociales se analizó con el objetivo de emplazar un relleno sanitario con características técnicas, que mediante sobreposición de capas con los Sistemas de Información Geográficos se buscó solucionar la problemática de contaminación del botadero de desechos sólidos a cielo abierto en el cantón Naranjito, mediante la elección de un lugar con criterios técnicos. Posteriormente con la entrevista que se realizó se consiguió un nivel de importancia entre los catorce subcriterios, donde el subcriterio ambiental “distancia a cuerpos de agua” resultó con la ponderación más alta con un 54%, seguido del subcriterio social “distancia a centros educativos” con un 38% y en tercer lugar el subcriterio geológico “permeabilidad del suelo” con un 32%. El resultado de la proyección poblacional para el 2050 en el cantón Naranjito fue de 66670 habitantes haciendo énfasis en el análisis de la demanda futura del servicio, donde las cinco alternativas seleccionadas como lugares altamente apropiados cumplieron con una superficie mayor a 10 hectáreas, permitiendo una vida útil de 15 años del relleno sanitario a ubicar en la alternativa 5, en la cual resultó ser el sitio idóneo elegido subjetivamente mediante una evaluación de factores por considerar.
The site feasibility study with respect to the environmental, geological and social criteria was analyzed with the objective of locating a sanitary landfill with technical characteristics, which by overlaying layers with Geographic Information Systems sought to solve the problem of contamination from the open dump of solid waste in the canton of Naranjito, by choosing a place with technical criteria. Subsequently, an interview was conducted to obtain a level of importance among the fourteen subcriteria, where the environmental subcriterion "distance to bodies of water" had the highest weighting with 54%, followed by the social subcriterion "distance to educational centers" with 38% and in third place the geological subcriterion "permeability of the soil" with 32%. The result of the population projection for 2050 in the canton of Naranjito was 66670 inhabitants, emphasizing the analysis of the future demand for the service, where the five alternatives selected as highly appropriate sites complied with an area greater than 10 hectares, allowing a useful life of 15 years for the landfill to be located in alternative 5, which turned out to be the ideal site chosen subjectively through an evaluation of factors to be considered.
