Resumen
Con el paso de los años, el sistema educativo se ha ido actualizando, gracias a esto, se han
cubierto las necesidades especiales de niños con distintos tipos de discapacidades con las
denominadas Instituciones de Educación Especializada. La Unidad Educativa Especializada
Fiscal “La Floresta” atiende a niños y niñas con este tipo de necesidades, por lo que el objetivo
principal de esta investigación es estudiar los espacios de la unidad educativa para mejorar la
accesibilidad, confort e inclusión de los alumnos. Esto se logró con una investigación mixta,
de tipo descriptivo, aplicando encuestas y entrevistas para conocer el contexto de la institución.
Al aplicar los instrumentos se evidenciaron las deficiencias arquitectónicas del plantel, por lo
que se planteó una propuesta de rediseño de espacios interiores y exteriores de la institución,
con la finalidad de que se adapte a las necesidades especiales de los niños.
Over the years, the educational system has experienced constant update. Thanks to this, the special needs of children with different types of disabilities have been covered with the socalled Specialized Education Institutions. The Fiscal Specialized Educational Unit "La Floresta" serves children with this type of needs, thus the main objective of this research is to study the spaces of the educational unit to improve the access, comfort and inclusion of students. This was achieved with a mixed investigation, of the descriptive type, applying surveys and interviews to know the context of the institution. When applying the instruments, the architectural deficiencies of the campus were evidenced, for which a proposal to redesign the spaces of the institution was founded in order to adapt these spaces to the special needs of children.
