Resumen
El control de asistencia a estudiantes de instituciones educativas se toma de forma
periódica y a través de un proceso manual, para superar esta situación se realizó la presente
investigación que incluye la revisión de tecnologías de reconocimiento facial para diseñar
una API que se encargue del registro y control de asistencia de los estudiantes, que pueda
ser utilizado en múltiples sistemas, se utilizó la metodología de investigación bibliográfica
y cuantitativa, empleando el instrumento encuesta a docentes de la Universidad Estatal del
Sur de Manabí evaluando el interés de esa población en el diseño propuesto, se realizó la
revisión de tecnologías previamente utilizadas para diseño de API, se investigó la
evolución de software empleados en servicios a fines, se empleó el uso librerías gratuitas
como OpenCv y NodeJs. Lográndose con ella la construcción del diseño para el uso del
control de asistencia acoplable a sistemas actuales y con tecnología moderna.

In order to overcome this situation the present investigation was carried out on including the review of facial recognition technologies to design an API that is responsible for the registration and control of attandance that can be used in multiple systems, the Bibliographic and Quantitative research methodology was used by using the survey instrument for teachers of the Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí, from Jipijapa in Manabí Province, It was evaluated for the interest of this population in the proposed design, the technology review was previously carried out and also used for API design, the evolution of software in services was investigated, On the other hand, The use of free libraries such as OpenCV and NodeJs were applied. The construction of the design for the use of acceptable attendance control to current systems and with modern technology were developed.
