dc.description.abstract	El Ancylostoma spp y Toxocara spp son parásitos que generalizan a varios tipos de Ancylostoma y Toxocara que causan graves daños a quienes las padecen. El objetivo de esta investigación fue, determinar la prevalencia de Ancylostoma spp y Toxocara spp en caninos del recinto Puente Lucía de la provincia del Guayas. El diseño que se utilizó en el estudio fue un diseño no experimental de tipo descriptivo – prospectivo – transversal. Se analizaron 100 muestras obtenidas de los caninos del recinto, donde 68 fueron casos positivos para el parásito Ancylostoma spp y 3 para el Toxocara spp, determinadas mediante la técnica de flotación, lo que permitió determinar la prevalencia con un 68% y 3% respectivamente para cada parásito. La presencia de Ancylostoma spp y Toxocara spp se pudieron observar tomando en cuenta las variables sexo, raza, edad (grupo etáreo) y tenencia para su determinación en cuanto a prevalencia. Es importante mencionar que estos casos positivos pueden conllevar a enfermedades zoonóticas por lo que es menester realizar estudios en las personas del recinto.The Ancylostoma spp and Toxocara spp are parasites that generalize to several types of Ancylostoma and Toxocara that cause serious damages to those who suffer them. The objective of this investigation was to determine the prevalence of Ancylostoma spp and Toxocara spp in canines of the Puente Lucía enclosure in the province of Guayas. The design used in the study was a non - experimental design of a descriptive - prospective - transversal type. We analyzed 100 samples obtained from the canines of the enclosure, where 68 were positive cases for the parasite Ancylostoma spp and 3 for the Toxocara spp, determined by means of the flotation technique, which allowed to determine the prevalence with 68% and 3% respectively every parasite. The presence of Ancylostoma spp and Toxocara spp could be observed taking into account the variables sex, race, age (age group) and possession for its determination in terms of prevalence. It is important to mention that these positive cases can lead to zoonotic diseases, so it is necessary to carry out studies on the people in the área.	es_ES
