The study of this work degree aims to see how feasible is the use of multifunctional furniture from the social point of view, implementing them in small low-income households bearing the self-construction of their own home spaces. Advancing to the extent that they are progressively providing capital, as their most common problem is lack of money, forcing the user to adopt this form of construction as an alternative to access a roof, this makes made their own housing construction, and keep time progress of the work. Forcing them to maintain a way of life unifying the areas of housing because of not being built entirely. marginal sectors such as flower Bastion, Los Vergeles, Mount Sinai, and Trinitaria Island, Guasmos, Suburban located in the city of Guayaquil hosting 41.6% of interprovincial migration lead that lifestyle lacking resources to meet the basic physical and welfare needs and habitability. The interest of this work focuses on a feasibility study of informal markets for self-build multifunctional furniture for small spaces, which can be assembled by the user and remain as factors of social character, This is intended to provide solutions for economy and good living to low-income families in informal sectors of the Trinitarian island in the city of Guayaquil. These factors show that this is a big problem. From this point of view a proposal for a multifunctional furniture design that optimizes more space defines various activities in one room is done. The aim will join several tasks in a single object and meet the needs of space through action modules that can redistribute and release the object space when not in use. This proposal is put forward based on the lack of space for furniture in a home that is in the process of self-construction for low-income family’s unconsolidated sectors of Trinitarian island.
