Señor del Espíritu Santo, 2023-204 school period. The problem exposed during the research is the lack of motivation that students have when performing reading activities during English class. The main purpose was to solve the research questions, methods that are being applied and benefits to increase the students' reading comprehension. This project focuses on increasing the reading skill through a set of didactic activities that allow them to communicate in the second language they are learning. The instruments used were observation, interview and survey to the students and teachers of the Institution. In conclusion, according to the results obtained, it was possible to find a solution to the problem, which was to create a didactic guide with exercises that allow students to increase their reading comprehension and improve the quality of teaching for the students of the institution.

Obviously, the more words someone has learned in English language, the easier is to speak in English. Therefore, the vocabulary acquisition is crucial importance to learners because all language skills need the vocabulary acquisition. The progress of English proficiency does not depend on the grammar use but also the words accumulated on the memory. Memory is a factor that influence in the vocabulary acquisition because it allows having or keep words in a mental box, and it is used immediately depending of the context. To find the relation between vocabulary and language skills, this educational project through researchers and using different methods of investigation pretends to analyze the influence of vocabulary in the development of speaking skills through a field, bibliographic and statistical analysis to design a pedagogical guide based on the acquisition of vocabulary that promotes and improves the learning of new words in the English language at Patria Ecuatoriana high public on academic year 207-2018

Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2019) Villamar Zambrano, Juan Mariano; Chávez Zamora, FreddyLa présente étude examine l’influence du vocabulaire dans la production orale chez les apprenants de français L2 de 3ème (âgé de 16-17 ans) du lycée public Guayaquil, de l’année scolaire 2018-2019. Cette étude vise à établir la relation entre le vocabulaire et le développement de la production orale à travers une analyse statistique et une recherche de terrain. Le type de recherche employé c’est l’exploratoire et descriptive. On n’a que considérer les liens entre les deux variables mais on a également collecté des données à travers un questionnaire en vue de mieux comprendre le problème et pourvoir expliquer les relations causales. En plus, la méthode déductive a été utilisée permettant formuler l’hypothèse suivante : aider les élèves à incrémenter leur lexique par l’apprentissage du vocabulaire dans de contextes communicatifs facilitera le développement de la production orale en français. Les résultats montrent que la maitrise du vocabulaire influence le développement de la production orale en langue française et c’est en effet un des facteurs qui permet distinguer un niveau de l’autre du CECR pour les langues. Par conséquent, la création d’un cahier personnel d’apprentissage a été proposée par le biais de la sélection des aspects les plus importants de la recherche afin d’améliorer la production orale en français chez les élèves de 3ème

This research is also intended to contribute to the acquisition of English vocabulary in eighth-grade students at Escuela de Educación Básica “Mariscal Sucre” through a booklet with selected texts and exercises aimed at developing vocabulary in English. It is used as an additional tool than those used in class. The work of this booklet is aimed to improve reading comprehension in English for the same document. It has stories that adapt to the students' level of comprehension both in the knowledge of English and in the extension of the text

Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación., 2023-09) Barbecho Mejía, Mayber Odalys; Ortega Vergara, Melanie Agripina; Donoso Noboa, GaloThis educational project aims to investigate the incidence of mnemonic devices in the acquisition of English vocabulary in Sixth Grade students of Basic General Education at the Ranulfo Aurelio Rodríguez Marín Fiscal Basic School. Through a bibliographic study and the use of empirical instruments, such as observation in the classroom, a survey of students, and an interview with the principal and the English teacher, it was evidenced the insufficiency in the use of mnemonic devices during the learning process and the difficulty that learners present to memorize and use the vocabulary taught in the classroom. For this reason, a didactic guide based on different memorization techniques that facilitate the development of A2.1 vocabulary is proposed to enable the teacher to encourage a more interactive language practice.

In these students, insufficiency in vocabulary acquisition was reflected due to the lack of motivation, unknown mnemonics, and didactic strategies for increasing new words, which is necessary to develop linguistic skills in the English language. The current educational project was carried out through methods, techniques, and applying qualitative and quantitative research instruments such as class observation, student survey, and teacher interview, which evidenced the level of development in the students' English vocabulary production. In addition, the variables of the problem were analyzed and developed theoretically through historical background, the context of the research, theoretical and legal foundations to improve the process of vocabulary acquisition of these students.

The difficulties shown by these students demonstrated that acquiring a new lexicon turned repetitive and mechanical but exciting for them, making the strategy change a necessity to develop this skill. The research project mentioned was carried out through instruments such as interviews with the teachers and surveys with the students, as well as a field, bibliographic and statistical research to collect all the information needed. These quantitative and qualitative instruments settled the students' level concerning retaining new knowledge as a lexicon. The variables of the problem established were analyzed strictly, evidencing the requirements needed for the students and developing a structured formulation of the historical background.

This project intends to highlight the importance of visual aids as teaching tools to enhance vocabulary acquisition in A1.1 level learners, through this resource, pupils can have better retention with a dynamic and effective learning process. The ability to learn a new language quickly is essential as the world becomes more interactive. This research makes an important contribution to the current discourse on language teaching and offers useful tactics for supporting A1.1 learners in their language learning. The purpose of this research is to design a didactic guide to use visual aids to teach new vocabulary to the a1.1 level, it supports the increase in a positive way the learning of the students. Pupils will be able to retain new vocabulary words in a didactic and precise way that they can use day by day.
