Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2018) Alvarado Lucas, Kelvin Iván; González Cedeño, Samanta Jessenia; Donoso Noboa, GaloThe following study attempts to analyze the incidence of active strategies to develop reading skills by designing of interactive software with activities focused on active strategies. The principal problem identified was reading difficulty such as hesitations while reading, lack of knowledge of words, repetitions, reading from memory or invention of the text. The theorical framework provides a clear and easy understanding of main concepts and variables used in the research. The present work was carried out at “Mercedes Moreno Irigoyen” public high school, Zone 8, District 3, Province of Guayas, Guayaquil Canton, during the school year 2017 – 2018. The researchers of this work applied variety methods and techniques such as observation, interviews and surveys with open questions in order to gather firsthand information examined and compiled through the “Dinamed” formula. As a final result, it can be highlighted that the active strategies has positive incidence in the development of the reading skill since they facilitate and make more dynamic the learning and provide an innovative and satisfactory solution to overcome the reading difficulties

To this end, bibliographical research was carried out to determine the active techniques of adequate teaching to improve it, and which were applied in a didactic booklet with reading exercises. The methodological design used is descriptive, in addition to a field study, with direct observation. The instruments of the survey and the interview were used for the collection of information. Once the analysis of the results and the implementation of this project were elaborated, it was possible to determine that the students are capable of developing their reading comprehension, and in this way, they can continue advancing in their learning of the new language

Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2019-09) Arellano Sinche, Jefferson David; Ruiz Molina, José Francisco; Cruz Rizo, LornaThis educational project established its investigation into the conflict situation presented by the students of 3rd year of the Unified General Baccalaureate “A” of the “Francisco Huerta Rendón” High School in the 2019-2020 school year, in which it was determined by means of a previous analysis, that there is inadequacy in the development of speaking concerning the use of additive sentence connectors. During the study carried out, it was possible to demonstrate the different causes such as the little use of technological tools, lack of adequate exercises to work with the additive connectors, little time to practice oral skills, among others. With the information collected, oral expression could be defined as the dependent variable and additive sentence connectors as the independent variable. Therefore, an analysis of the historical background, of the theoretical and legal foundations, as well as the context of the investigation was carried out. In addition, a survey, an interview with the English teacher, and a class observation guide were developed and applied. After analyzing the data collected, it was considered pertinent to create a digital web page with exercises for the use of additive sentence connectors, which will positively influence student learning

However, we must find teachers’ creativity in order to do something a lot more fun, bring excitment when learning and have students do their best when learning the English language. Games motivate students’ language learning, their prior learning, the way they see thing and even the way they react to certain topics at hand, specially when these topics are new. Having the ability to express oneself in another language is a modern day skill that many believe is a luxury. But regardless how difficult it may seem, it is something that can be accomplished with the right tools and the right pedagogy, research, methodology and techniques in the classroom. This project’s aim is just that, to help students learn the language the proper way.

If this skill is not acquired properly, the information received can be misinterpreted, and that could cause good communication not to develop. Therefore, this project aims to show how animated movie songs can help in the development of students' listening comprehension through the performance of listening activities. In addition, throughout this research, students will improve their listening comprehension, their vocabulary will expand, and their pronunciation will develop. Thus, with the help of a bibliographical, statistical, and field study; and with the application of research instruments such as the teacher interview, student survey, and observation sheet, it was proved that ninth-grade students of Basic General Education from Unidad Educativa Particular “Francisco Huerta Rendón” present difficulties to enhance their listening comprehension due to the lack of practice of listening activities and the lack of innovative didactic resources that facilitate their improvement in said skill. That is why this project focused on creating an interactive blog according to the National Curricular Guidelines with A1.2 level listening activities based on animated movie songs to improve students' listening comprehension in a more engaging and accessible way.

Therefore, with the purpose to find out the application of English modern music lyrics as a tool to develop the writing skill to work with worksheets, the songs that could be listened to the radio, a CD, a flash memory or other storage device previously, in the criteria to choose the songs, the pupils are interested by the musical current panorama and teachers should follow this trending, too. Besides, my years of practice like teacher have allowed me to penetrate into the interests of the pupils of different ages. The classroom in that the didactic offer is going to take place is very spacious, which allows realizing psychomotor education activities. We have a normal blackboard, a speaker, many CDs or flash memories with different current styles of songs. This handbook will have a huge benefit for the institution because it will allow teacher to improve or reinforce his or her teaching strategies, especially, now to apply writing skill

Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2022-09) Jara Paredes, Manuel Vicente; Guacho Yautibug, Johnatan Israel; Encalada Huayamave, Jorge WashingtonThis research project took place in the Unidad Educativa República de Francia, its study subjects are a group of 30 English students with A.1 classification, made up of 18 eighth grade students, 7 ninth grade students and 5 tenth grade students. in whom, through the use of qualitative and quantitative methodology for data collection, manifestations were identified that indicated a high deficit in the development of reading comprehension skills in the area of the English language, for this reason in the theoretical framework of This research takes into consideration research by other authors on similar topics considering the factors and strategies suggested by them to enhance the reading process, this research work aims to contribute to the educational field seeking to influence the use of literature circles. reading to develop reading comprehension at the level required by the Ministry of Education of Ecuador in addition Based on the collected data, it provides a didactic guide with information about literature circles, with the sole purpose of developing reading comprehension in students, literature circles promote the collective work of students. they enhance critical thinking, self-education, among other aspects, in this way it is sought to face the problem in the development of this skill.

With this research work: Topic: “Arouse the intrinsic motivation through extrinsic motivation to improve the basic English Learning.” Proposal: “Design of a workbook with visual motivational activities to improve the Basic English Learning”, we will positively change the student's attitude towards learning English, allowing them develop their reasoning capacity and strengthen their effort and interest in favor of a participatory education. The English language in our country has traditionally been based on mechanical processes that have favored memorization rather than the development of thought, as a result of the lack of interest in learning the English language, our project will improve the think of the students give them ability to participate in class with own willpower. The motivation is very important because the student have interest in each English class, the teacher is the guide, the leader, and have to use motivational activities to arose these interest. There are extrinsic and intrinsic motivations, In short, it is advisable for any field is to stimulate growth and interest internally, that is to say stimulate the motivation to do, to make, to experience, regardless of the aim pursued. Extrinsic motivation and intrinsic motivation are very different, our duty is to complement and combine both so that we make and achieve our objectives in the most productive and profitable way possible. We wanted to show people reading our project that the resources needed to improve pronunciation do not always have to be traditional, especially in an era where we have become even more technological, showing that the priority technique in English classes will be the one that determines how much students learn. The technology we have today is an indispensable tool that must be used in all classrooms regardless of the subject taught, bearing in mind that the most entertaining activities such as watching a movie are the ones that students learn about. Like movies, music is a very productive tool when we teach pronunciation, which is why we try to show teachers, students, and parents that it is necessary to change educational strategies.

It presents outstanding arguments through a bibliographical analysis that reveals the background, foundations and methodology for the proper application of this resource. It also offers a statistical analysis of data collected through the application of a survey, interview and observation that describe the situation of these students in said skill. It proposes as a solution a Didactic Guide with methodological orientations for the appropriate use of audiobooks. This proposal can be extended to similar learning contexts.

The necessary resources have been sought to make pronunciation a more priority technique in English classes, at the same time the monotonous to entertaining class must be converted. The current technology is an indispensable requirement that should be used in the normal classes of the teacher, taking into account a commitment to an educational vocabulary so that they can practice pronunciation for longer and also make more oral evaluations since the language so deserves it and The score in that technique can mean a higher percentage in the subject. In short, we must remind students that they are committed to always practice the English language every day at all times and places.

Therefore, it plays an important part not only in their personal lives but also in their academic ones, especially in the teaching learning process of the English language for developing the listening skills. The aim of this project is thus to give a description of the importance of audiovisual resources in the acquisition of a foreign language, also, its classification and benefits for English teaching. In addition, the right timing for the implementation of audio visual resources into the teaching is considered. The authors also describes different ways of using in a correct way these didactic materials in language classrooms. In conclusion, they provide a list of tried and tested exercises and useful activities that will awake the students‘ interest for this subject and it also will increase the scholastic yield of them that will see reflected at the end of the school year with good grades.

The methodology was mixed, which implemented a quantitative and qualitative style to apply the survey and interview tools. It is justified that the idea presented by the researchers implies an innovative development that addresses the problems of learning English using technological tools, benefiting those involved in the English area because they will be able to provide knowledge where the activities are didactic and motivate the interest of students in learning English

For that reason the author of this project pretends to introduce a booklet that contains useful and entertained exercises related to grammar structure since the researcher is sure that for speaking correctly students must know how to do it correctly. In order to get this goal, the teacher should look for the most effective tools so that students can learn easily. This is why this project will help us to establish the realistic use of the basic grammatical structure in order to encourage students to improve their writing skills in the learning process and with that the teacher can motivate students to learn basic grammar and enrich their knowledge. In order to develop this research, interviews and surveys were applied to the entire educational community: authorities, teachers and students in this way we obtained the necessary information to develop this project. After that, we investigated in books and internet sources related to our subject, obtaining the best information to design a didactic guide with grammar exercises that will be useful for the students and facilitates the teaching process of the teachers. This requires changes in the institutions and agents in charge of formal education. It is a lot of importance that English teacher try to motivate and apply new teaching techniques about basic grammar, at the moment when I made the investigation about the problem of not learning of Elementary English in those students of those basic years .That is why I decide to design a handbook with exercises about basic grammar with the same topics about the new English books of the government .So I suggested to the English teachers to start applying the new methods and strategies to use better the English handbook .for better results thinking about the new methods and strategies used nowadays about the needs of using the English as second language in Ecuador. According to the Common European framework used in Europe and USA.

The problem was related with the low encouragement for the Basic English Learning and was observed while we were performing our teaching practices. The importance of this project is the benefit that will have in the developing of the students as for their scholastic accomplishment, it has been designed taking in consideration the arguments previously exposed with intention to generate a process of change and provide a tool of great value for the students and the Institution, our proposal will benefit English teachers in teaching process in future generations. For elaborating the present project we developed the variables theoretically which are Independent: Basic Strategic Vocabulary and Dependent: Improvement of the oral production and pronunciation to increase their vocabulary and the communication in this language. Related to the methodology applied, this investigation is considered as a bibliographic research because we investigated different real situations in the educational field which have similarities with our project. Once, we obtained the results as an effect of the applied research instruments, they were tabulated and analyzed and finally we obtained the corresponding conclusions and recommendations that brought us to the Design and application of a booklet with vocabulary exercises to enhance the pronunciation and speaking skills. The precise use of this handbook will help the students in enhancing their oral production due to the fact that they will improve their speaking skill through, so that they can make progress in their learning process.

Since English language is being taken into consideration nowadays, we find it necessary to pay attention to the necessity of the students to fulfill with the them in the correct way. It is important to understand first that Students want to learn English because they want to communicate with other people around the world in an effective way. They also want to be more interactive with native speakers in order to increase the academic and professional opportunities as well as get a better job, and extend their social networks. With the information given above, our concern lies at Manuel Gomez Abad public school where the students are lack of teaching materials, lack of interactive techniques, methodology, and resources to be applied in the class, with all of this, we are very sure that the students would strengthen the teaching process based on improving the pronunciation and also, getting new vocabulary to be applied in the next levels
