Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2022-04) Alava Vera, María Belén; Manzo Vélez, Marcelo Xavier; Alvarado Pignataro, DaniellaThis project aims to establish the efficacy of the use of a didactic guide for the implementation of comprehensible input to improve the different skills focusing in oral expression for 1.1 level of the students of eighth grade from the public school “Coronel Luciano Coral” during the school year 2021- 2022. The modality use on this project is of mixed nature, using the instruments of the quantitative research in conjunction with the operatively of the qualitative research. The data obtained from the quantitative studies using a level test demonstrate the limited vocabulary and lack on fluency in oral expression. This result was analyzing in order to develop the appropriate didactic guide using different methods, techniques and instruments with which teachers can implement the comprehensible input to the classroom in order to fulfill the necessities of the class. Students will be able to enhance their oral expression by the implementation of the comprehensible input.

To develop this thesis project, we worked with the students of the second year of high school (BGU) of the morning shift of the Unidad Educativa Martin Luther King, school year 2022-2023. In this investigation, different techniques were applied to obtain information; Firstly, a survey was carried out on students to assess their knowledge and use of phrasal verbs in their usual educational environment in order to develop a didactic guide according to their current curriculum and for it to become a pedagogical tool of great value. in their regular classes. After this, an interview with the teacher was developed to find out his opinion on specific issues in relation to the development of oral production of students in the area of English. Finally, through an observation guide, it was possible to verify the teaching environment in the classroom and the challenges that the various activities represent to maintain the attention of the students. The didactic guide to speak using phrasal verbs is an educational tool that is easy to use and very useful for students in their learning goal and also as a support for people dedicated to research in different fields to use it.

Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación., 2023-09) Balladares Junco, Ginger Del Rocío; Alvarado Pignataro, DaniellaThis study focused on the use of pop music as a didactic resource to improve listening comprehension in ninth-grade students at the Simon Bolivar Public Basic Education School located in Guayaquil city. Based on previous research, it was determined that the use of pop music has a positive impact on the development of listening comprehension skills. The study employed a qualitative and descriptive research design, utilizing a survey questionnaire consisting of questions, indicators, statistical representation, and data analysis to comprehend the research problem. The design of a didactic guide that integrates pop music into listening comprehension activities has shown positive contributions in the teaching-learning process of English as a foreign language (EFL). Furthermore, the guide becomes one of the primary resources used by teachers to design their lesson plans, offering an effective solution.
