- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoInfluence of dictation in listening comprehension(Universidad de Guayaquil Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2020) Luna Martínez, Eduardo Andrés; Soriano Cruz, Genesis Maribel; Anaguano Pérez, SaraThis educational project is based on solving the problem that was evidenced in the tenth-year students, parallel "D" of Basic General Education of the "Cuenca del Guayas" Public Highschool in the 2020-2021 school period, in which an insufficiency in the ability of listening comprehension was observed. This project had the purpose of determining the influence of dictation in the development of listening comprehension. For that, it was carried out a study, in which the variables of the problem were found. Then the variables were analyzed and developed theoretically through the historical background, the theoretical and legal foundations, and also the context of the research. Besides the different methods and techniques, the instruments that were: the teacher interview and the student survey, which revealed the real situation of the students concerning listening comprehension. Based on an analysis of the results, it concludes that the design of a didactic guide focused on dictation activities would help improve listening, since it provides both students and the teacher a series of structured exercises that function as a guide at the time of developing listening skills

It requires a bare understanding of syntax and grammatical structures so a cohesive idea can be expressed properly. The modality will be of a mixed nature, combining the functionality of the qualitative nature and the tools of the quantitative nature. The observation was performed on 26 students of the Ninth Grade BGE “Alpha” at Unidad Educativa Liceo Naval: Cmdte. “Rafael Andrade Lalama”, applying research instruments such as surveys for students, and an interview to the teacher. The data obtained from the analysis process determined a lack of fluency and accuracy when performed the oral skills. The conclusions and recommendations obtained were analyzed through the research results. By developing a methodological guide with the integration of social networks as an ideal experience to improve the English oral production

To define the topic with fundaments and basis, the author of the project supports it in different works and some characters. The investigation methods which carried out were important, now that it could be able to delimit the lack of the main topic. All these give the result of, it is necessary to enrich vocabulary to develop oral expression properly, and for that reason the design of a booklet is a didactic tool, that students can handle to reach improving in this ability

Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2021-10) Macías Sol, Verónica Alejandra; Quimi Reyes, Sheyla Rosa; Anaguano Pérez, SaraThe main objective of this project is to determine the effectiveness of using scaffolding strategies in online teaching to improve the reading fluency of tenth-grade students of general basic education of the Fiscal Educational Unit ''Sarah Flor Jimenez'' during the school year 2020-2021. In the mentioned group of students, the lack of reading fluency in the English language was evidenced. This was determined through a survey of the students, an interview with the English teacher, and the observation process. Additionally, the independent and dependent variable of the problem was analyzed and developed through historical background, theoretical foundation, applying methods, techniques, and instruments that allowed discovering the real situation in which the students found themselves with respect to reading fluency. Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2019-09) Pazmiño Tachón, Rubén Darío; Anaguano Pérez, SaraThe importance is to analyze how reading compression influences the critical compression of reading in students of English as a foreign language to promote the use of well-defined concepts that offer subsidies for a specific teaching methodology before, during and after reading with the objective of developing reading skills, and maintaining the analysis of the reader, in order to demonstrate effectiveness through a possible structure with reading activities with the expectation of forming readers who exhale compression and understanding. The development of strategies in the teaching-learning process of comprehensive reading is one of the highest and most complex potentials that humans must possess, this implies developing communication skills beyond being good readers. Finally, the proposal is born, which is expected to be applied with the students and as such the students improve their critical thinking through comprehensive reading for the development of English language reading skills and adapt to the needs of the group. - ÍtemAcceso AbiertoThe incidence of vocabulary acquisition in the development of oral production(Universidad de Guayaquil Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2019-09) Avendaño Hinojosa, Ana María; Anaguano Pérez, SaraIn the present study it has been investigated the incidence of vocabulary acquisition in the development of oral production in students of tenth year section A, in the elementary school Victor Emilio Estrada, 2019 – 2020 school year, in which due to the absence of didactic material, methods and techniques of teaching a second language, the students demonstrated to have insufficiency in the development of oral production. This projects was carried out through a bibliographic and statistical study, in addition it was implemented as a research instrument, observation, survey and interview in order to have a broader view of the problem. After a deep analysis of the situation, it was proposed to design a system of activities based on the acquisition of vocabulary focused on developing oral production in students and significantly helping the teacher to implement this proposal in order to have a better communication during English class.

Without structure, there is no reasoning when writing, no matter how much vocabulary words a person may know or have. It is important for grammar to take place in learning a language. Of course, when learning a language as the main one, such process of grammar is not needed or enforced, that’s because the natural approach is at hand in which we all acquire the language in a natural way by listening to our parents, repeating the words they say to us and imitating such sound. This project is based on the present tense which objective is to improve the use of such verbal tense to the students of the eighth of The República de Francia Public School. This tense should be adequate enough for students of the 8th grade. This guide will provide exercises in the most common and basic tenses in the English language, the present tense, learning the basic tenses will provide an easy way for students to learn the other ten tenses that are part of the English structure, facilitating learning to students and giving them full nourishment about the language being learned.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoThe influence of ludic activities in the development of reading comprehension(Universidad de Guayaquil Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2019-09) Cascante Aldaz, Pedro Julio; Anaguano Pérez, SaraThis investigation studied a problem of written expression found in the students of fifth grade of Basic General Education, room C, of the Costa Rica Educational Unit. Academic writing is a useful skill that students can learn. Employ skills that they will use when they have a job and to serve in the community. Students begin to feel more confident with the expressions they use. It is a great skill and easy to teach. In addition, the research instruments applied were observation, survey questionnaire and interview, with a population of 26 students. Unfortunately, most teachers do not see the benefits of acquiring a skill such as reading. And they still use a common and boring methodology. This is the reason why this work aims to demonstrate the ease and importance of learning a skill read that students might have before going to high school. So they can go to high school with all the academic knowledge that academic reading will teach them. The value of students' thoughts will change to improve on themselves. Learning academic reading will open a new world of knowledge. As stated before the objective of this project is to give some advice on the easiest way to teach academic reading to students in fifth grade. Exercises such as organizing the paragraphs in the correct order and remembering that the subject of a paragraph should logically follow the theme of the last paragraph should give rise to the subject of the next paragraph. Students love this type of training when teachers kindly and lively propose it. For the development of this research, a field modality was applied, since the information was obtained directly from the public school.

This project had the purpose to determine the influence of pre-listening activities in the development of listening comprehension in the English class. For that, it was made a study where it was found the variables of the problem that were analyzed and developed theoretically through the historical background, the theoretical and legal foundations, and also the context of the research. Besides the different methods and techniques, it was also used the instruments that were: the interview to the teacher and the survey to students, which revealed the real condition of students in this skill. With the analysis of the results, it was considered that the creation of a system of pre-listening exercises would help to improve the listening because it allows to activate student’s knowledge for make them more effective when doing a listening task.

Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2018) Moreno Mantilla, Paul; Anaguano Pérez, SaraThis research project is based on a proposal that consists of designing a system of group activities to improve the level of listening comprehension of the students of 9th grade "C" at Francisco Huerta Rendón” Public High School, The purpose is to improve the listening comprehension of the students through various group activities. The research was carried out through a field studying, some tools such as interviews, surveys and observations directed, to 54 students of 9th grade "C" of general education as well as to the teacher of the institution. The results showed the deficiency of the development of the listening comprehension in the students. The theorical framework contains information about the study of both variables and were used for the justification of the proposal. As a solution it is intended to promote the implementation of a booklet with listening methods and strategies to form groups, so that students can have a better result in their listening activities. The creation of new methods, and the application of group activities for English learners will avoid boredom and will increase the interest and attention to the class. Also it is important to students apply the system of group activities to develop student´s listening comprehension at a basic level, as well as to reinforce previous knowledge.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoThe influence of vocabulary in the performance of reading skill(Universidad de Guayaquil Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2019) Pillasagua García, Gissella Magdalena; Anaguano Pérez, SaraThis project was aimed at improving the development of the English reading ability of students in the 10th grade section "B", evening session, General Basic Education of the Vicente Rocafuerte National High School, due to the implementation of vocabulary inappropriate for the level of English in the students they have in the classroom. It was also scientifically proven that standardized vocabulary are important activities to learn a foreign language, because they motivate and improve the reading ability of students and can be applied when reading texts and understanding main and secondary ideas, also have the ability to synthesize the read text. To identify the problem, field, bibliographic and statistical research was used that helped compile information about the problem. In addition, student surveys and the English teacher interview were used as research instruments. These data showed that students do not have the appropriate development at their level according to the skills established in the Curriculum Guide and the Common European Framework of Reference. Therefore, it was proposed to design a brochure with standardized vocabulary for basic users, which main objective is to provide a solution to the problem presented in the educational context

Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2018) Carrillo Mora, Cristhian Alberto; Anaguano Pérez, SaraThis investigation studied a problem that was found in the students of tenth grade of general basic education, room “C”, at “Nueve de Octubre” Public High School. Students have some difficulties because they do not have enough opportunities to develop their reading comprehension in the learning process. This project was carried out through a field research, bibliographical investigation and statistical analysis. The bibliographic research was based on different activities about how to develop better reading skills through visual vocabulary with the intention of improving the reading comprehension in the English language. Also, the instruments of the investigation applied during the study were: the teacher’s interview and a survey with a population of 31 students. The results obtained after the analysis showed that students do not have enough instruments to improve their reading skills, and at the same time, the teacher does not have the academic resources to help the students in developing the reading comprehension. For this reason, it is necessary to design a booklet with different visual vocabulary activities to facilitate the reading comprehension of the students during the English class.
